As has been proved, drinking water installations in public buildings such as hospitals, retirement homes, kindergardens, and hotels can be contaminated significantly by hygienically relevant microorganisms. Reasons for this problem are often indoor installations not being operated properly according to recognised standards of good practise, and the use of inappropriate materials which enhance microbial growth. IWW offers leading know-how in the analysis of water and biofilm samples from drinking water installations.
